A vibrant journey through the life of Pharrell Williams, told through the lens of LEGO animation. Animal Logic, which animated the previous four theatrical Lego films, did not return to animate the film as it was considered to be cheating Warner Bros. ., despite the fact that Lego and Warner Bros. share the rights to the original franchise. Instead, the animation was done at Pure Imagination Studios in Los Angeles and Zebu Animation Studios in India. Both Pure Imagination and Zebu have previously recreated the style of the original film franchise through theme park attractions, PSAs, and the Simpsons (1989) episode “Brick Like Me (2014)”… Premiered by Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Tremolo The Lego Group’s studio productions and logos are made of Lego bricks. Featured on The Graham Norton Show: Billy Crystal/Emily Mortimer/Hugh Bonneville/Pharrell Williams/Michael Kiwanuka (2024). It’s HappeningWritten by Pharrell Williams and Shelly BergPerformed by Pharrell WilliamsCourtesy of Columbia Records/Sony Music Entertainment. A biopic about Pharrell Williams, but it’s made with legos, cool and original. But you have to ask yourself who was this made for? Because it’s too boring to be a kids movie and most adults wouldn’t watch this because they would think it’s a kids movie. I watched it alone last night and I was pretty bored, this Lego biopic was the only thing that saved this movie, otherwise no one would be interested except Pharrell Williams super fans. I also don’t know how Focus Features has survived all year, they are the only film company where the theater has been consistently empty every time I go, even play by play they only had 5 people in total. The other 2 films I saw through focus present this year the auditorium was completely empty and I was the only person in the audioturm, a very rare thing for me to be alone in a theater.
