It tells the story of three very different families who are fighting to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they believe will solve all their problems. JD mentions that he would like to “have a role in the Yellowstone universe”; Luke Wilson recently starred in the Kevin Costner film Horizon: An American Saga. Kevin Costner is also one of the major actors in the Yellowstone universe. It took a while to figure out where and how everything was going to play out. And it took a while to find the balance between dark and somber humor and what ended up being a fairly straightforward whodunnit. It was difficult at first to connect with the characters who were generally seemingly weak-minded or malicious… I could see why some might have watched an episode and turned it off. There’s so much to watch, so much to do, so little time… But I think persistence pays off here. Some might find the packaging a little too flimsy, but there’s nothing wrong with a little sentimentality at this time of year. I really enjoyed it. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
