Olivia Burton, 23, moves to California with her boyfriend, Francis Morales, 24, against the wishes of their families. Francis’ mother, Lillian, is a devout Catholic who disapproves of her son’s cohabitation and expresses her feelings in the form of cruel postcards on religious themes. Despite these objections, the young lovers adjust to their new exciting life together. However, their happiness crumbles after Francis receives physical and moral trauma as a result of an accident.
